One o'clock run, Triathlon, and Iron Kids Duathlon still going ahead.

All three of the athletics events are scheduled to go ahead. No news of cancellations as of yet due to the weather.

The weather has hit the Edinburgh's Dogmanay due to start at 1.30pm at Holyrood Park. On show were going to be Alaskan Malmute, Samoyed and Siberian Huskies.

The New Year Sprint has taken place around New Year's Day annually since 1870. This year's event, the 138th, will be held at Musselburgh Racecourse, 6 miles east of Edinburgh, on Friday 29th December and Saturday 30th December 2006.
