Loch Ness Hogmanay Celebrations Return to Drumnadrochit

The highland town of Drumnadrochit will be hosting its Hogmanay Festival again this year. It's part of a number of New Year events taking place in the Highlands. Join Hogmanay revellers near this famous monster-hunting town by Loch Ness from 28th December 2007 through till January 2nd 2008

The Pipes and Drums of Zurich

Zurich’s only Scottish pipe band was founded in 1977. They have some impressive achievements from when they have competed in Scotland.

10.00 p.m.
Pipers, Drummers, Locals, National and International Visitors wishing to enter into the spirit of the festivities and march with the Pipes and Drums to the Open Air Party should assemble at The Drumnadrochit Hotel lower car park.
10.30 p.m.

The Pipes and Drums of Zurich start up, and it’s off to join the others at THE LOCH NESS HOGMANAY STREET PARTY. THE HOGMANAY QUAICH will be ceremoniously carried to the event and each person marching will be given a free dram from the Quaich. (A great honour, to drink from the first HOGMANAY CUP -Traditions are set here).

10.45 p.m.
Our compere for the evening will be in the car park to take up the rhythm with the bands as the dancing begins. (Don’t worry if you are unsure of the steps, there will be lots of help around to show you the way), and then it’s FUN FUN FUN. No matter what your age, you will be sure to have a good time.

11.55 p.m.
Kevin McLennan is our lone piper for the evening. He would love for you to join him in the countdown to 2006 watch the spectacular FIREWORKS DISPLAY to welcome in the New Year at the Second LOCH NESS HOGMANAY FESTIVAL STREET PARTY.

12.10 a.m.
Gary Innes & The Soap Dodgers will carry on your entertainment with a mixture of music for the young and old from Rock n Roll to Scottish and make this party go with a swing!

1.20 a.m.
AULD LANG SYNE Say goodnight to your old friends and new, and on to a party or home to bed to get ready for tomorrows festivities.

Please wear appropriate clothing for the time of year!
If you are bringing a carry out of any description please ensure that all consumables are in plastic vessels as we are not allowed glass on the Car Park.
